A One Year Apprenticeship Training with Rose Khalsa , 2011-2012

In many indigenous traditions, the medicine person or elder , will choose someone to carry on the teachings and become their apprentice. This oral tradition of sharing the medicine is a very powerful way to be initiated into the way of the healer,teacher, warrior and visionary….the path of the shaman. Our planet needs this kind of human being to inspire and support others more than ever.

As most of you know, my youngest son passed away Sept 20th, 2010. This experience has been the most intense and transformational experience I will ever have in this lifetime.

In this year of grieving and healing I have learned the deepest meaning of humility, prayer and surrender. I have faced my deepest fear ( the loss of the one I loved more than anything) and to allow an unfolding of a new being, as I somehow emerge with a heart and awareness as wide as the sky.

This summer I traveled to Ireland, co-lead a pilgrimage there where I was gifted with vision from Christ, Mary and the healer, Brigit. The message they all gave me was,” Teach and share all that you carry in your heart. Your home is a sacred refuge for all who are suffering. Now is the time to share what you know.”

In August I was blessed to have supported seven amazing souls who chose to fast and Vision Quest at Rune Hill in Spencer NY. Once again, sitting at the fire with our Pipes and many offerings of tobacco, I was visited by the three loved ones who have passed over in the last two years, my partner, my Mom, and my son, Guru Meher. All three spoke to me of the urgency of being in truth and sharing the teachings with compassion and fearlessness.

Divine download happened at the end of this last Mercury Retro and this program is now manifesting with so much joy in my heart.

I welcome anyone who is ready for a year of transformation and change.We need to learn the ancient ways of our ancestors and  become the dreamer.

Shamanism is the oldest form of spirituality of humanity. It is based on living in balance with all of life. Shamanism is a path that connects you to your own divinity. These teachings will provide a series of tools that will open doors for you to your deep inner wisdom.

There is allot of freedom in shamanic work because we open to infinite possibilities for healing. I am excited to be sharing this ancient form of healing medicine with you.

There are two forms of energy medicine I have been practicing for over 25 years that I find blends very well with shamanic healing. They are Polarity Therapy and Visionary Cranial Sacral Work. I will be teaching an introduction to both of these modalities as part of the year long training.

Polarity Therapy is a cutting edge form of energy medicine that looks at the ” whole” person as far as healing. It was channeled from Dr. Randolph Stone, DO, DC ND. I have been practising and teaching Polarity Therapy for 25 years.

Visionary Cranial Work is based on the teaching of Dr.James Sutherland, DO, DC , who himself was a visionary and was the founder of working with The Breath of Life within the cranial fluid.I have found that knowing this powerful form of energy medicine, that many of my clients have found a way to release trauma on all levels.

If you choose to do this program, I will be challenging you to grow towards your greatness.  This training is  for those willing to open their hearts to infinite possibilities  for love and service. I ask that you be willing to look again at your insecurities and embrace your demons and invite them to tea in the warm chambers of your heart.

I ask you to pray and see if I am meant to be your teacher. For once you open the door and your ask to take refuge, our hearts will be connected and I will be here to nurture, support and kick your butt if needed!

This Apprenticeship Training will include all of the medicine I share and have gathered over thirty years of teaching and in private practice, including shamanic work, yoga, meditation, polarity therapy, cranial sacral, nutrition, counseling and ethics.

Tuition and Registration: For the One Year Student, $200 a class ( total tuition is $2,400 plus the $180 for the lodging for the Retreat which can be paid there)). Guest students, $250 ( who already have a shamanic background). Retreats will be an extra $60 to cover lodging.  You can pay per class or use Pay Pal and pay the full tuition.

A deposit of $200 that goes towards the last class will hold your space. I also ask you to write a short letter of why you want to take this training and your commitment to the circle. I will hold you to this , as it will be our contract for the year.

Here is the Schedule:

Class One: October 29th, 30th , The Wheel of Life and The Red Road. This weekend we will learn the ancient teachings of the Medicine Wheel. As we go deeper we will begin our journey of forgiveness and wisdom as we learn The Addiction Wheel.

Class Two: December 3rd, 4th: Connecting To Spirit: Our journey will deepen as we learn how to journey to the three realms. We will be initiated with Phoa to receive the blessings of Guru Rinpoche and begin to use the drum, our hands, songs and prayers for healing ourselves and others. We will meet our teachers and guides and learn how to bring protection with our totem animal guides. Taking Refuge, setting up your alter and spiritual protocols will lay a powerful foundation for our shamanic practice.

Class Three:January 14th, 15th: Clearing and Healing the Body: We will be learning body clearing also known as extraction work, and using the power of mantra and  word magic for protection. We will learn Tibetan Yoga ( bring a yoga mat) and breath-work for opening the three channels. We will learn Time Travel and how to release Curses and how to work with Nagas. ** Please read the 4 Agreements before this class**

Class Four: February 11th, 12th: Polarity Therapy:As a healer, we need to have an understanding of the energy body and where to look for illness and disharmony in the body. Polarity Therapy is the teachings of the visionary and healer, Dr. Randolph Stone. We will have a weekend of looking at the ” whole” person, using bodywork, yoga, nutrition and self awareness as our shaman tools. Please bring a table if you have one and a yoga mat.

Class Five: March 10th, 11th Retreat Weekend: Soul Retrieval: Using the guidance of our teachers, we will learn how to support being ” in the body” and how to recognize soul loss in ourselves and others. We will learn all the levels of this powerful tool, including soul theft ( sorcery) and long distance healing.

For this weekend we will be in a Retreat setting to have access to the nature world and also to work at night. It is a powerful time to heal.

Class Six: April 7th, 8th: Compassionate Dying: One very important job of the shaman is to prepare someone for their Star Journey. In this class we will learn the Tibetan Buddhist teachings of how to prepare yourself and your family for death. We will learn the teachings of Phoa , and beginning teachings on the bardo with the Bardo Prayer for after death. We will also learn the ” Pushing Through” shamanic practice for helping a soul who is stuck in the middle world.

In my opinion, everyone needs to take this weekend because we all know people who are dying. These teachings are so precious and helpful.

Class Seven: May 5th,6th The Practice of Chod: Feeding Your Demons:  Machig Lopdrun , a Buddhist saint, traveled throughout Tibet and India teaching the shamanic/yogic practice of Chod. We will learn a contemporary practice of chod taught by Tsultrun Allione, called, Feeding Your Demons. This practice also everyone who has fear or is trying to run away from a part of themselves should come and learn this work. Chod means to Cut and we are literally, cutting the cords.

Sunday we will learn more teachings on the bardo, Tibetan Yoga, breath-work and a deepening of our relationship with Guru Rinpoche also known as Padmasambhava.

Class Eight: June 16th, 17th,  Retreat : Teachings from Angeles Arrien , The Four Fold Way: The Way of the Visionary.

We will have another wonderful weekend in the mountains to be together in circle and ground more of our shamanic experiences. We will sit in circle and begin to learn the power of the Four Archetypes in order to live in harmony and balance: the Visionary, the Healer, the Teacher and the Warrior. We begin in the East, with the Visionary.

We will also Power Dance at night and have a Fire Ceremony Sunday.

There will be no class July and August. Vision Quest Aug 6th-12th

Class Nine: September 8th, 9th: The Way of the Healer and Teacher: More teachings from the Four Fold Way as we learn the ancient archetypes of the south and the west.

Class Ten: October 6th, 7th , Retreat: Depossession, Community Chod and working with the Divine Mothers. We will also learn the Sacred Frequencies of Christ. 

Class Eleven: November 3rd, 4th: The Way of the Warrior, The Ethics of Caring and Holistic Nutrition: We will learn the last archetype from the north, the Warrior. From this place of deep compassion we will explore ways to support our community and clients with ethical caring. We will also share our wisdom about eating healthy and the right foods for our constitutions.

Class Twelve: December 8th, 9th:Visionary Cranial Work. After practicing cranial sacral for twenty years and also shamanism, I have developed a unique style of cranial work that includes principle of Biodynamic cranial  with some shamanic and visionary skills. It is a profound and simple way to support the nervous system and the entire body through the cranial fluids.

We will end the year training with a Graduation and Give-Away Ceremony.
